Tampines North and the Plans Around Parktown Residence

Parktown Residence anchors a new chapter for Tampines. The developer’s brochure describes Tampines North as a precinct of some 21,000 new homes and green spaces, within reach of the job hubs of the east and north-east.

Tampines North and Parktown Residence

Tampines was the first Singapore town planned with precincts, in 1979, and the first cycling town in 2010, and the brochure notes that it has received the United Nations World Habitat Award. Tampines North extends the town to the north, with some 21,000 new homes and green corridors linking the Tampines Eco Green, the Green Boulevard and the Sungei Api Api waterway.

At the centre of the precinct, Parktown brings the homes, a retail mall, a hawker centre, a community club, a bus interchange and an MRT station onto one podium.
